Breast Cancer Awareness Panel

Join us for an impactful Breast Cancer Awareness Panel for Black Communities, in partnership with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation. This event builds on the important work started last November by our Chair, Ayanna Alleyne, and the Foundation’s team to address the critical gap in breast cancer research and data for Black communities. Our expert panel will feature Black and racialized oncologists, survivors, and advocates, including:

  • Thierry M. Muanza, Oncologist
  • Saïma Hassan, Surgical Oncologist
  • Peggy Mandevu, Breast Cancer Survivor
  • Catherine Verdon Diamond, TV Personality Host & Breast Cancer Advocate

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from specialists, connect through real-life experiences, and network while gaining essential knowledge on racial disparities, early detection, and support needed within Black communities.

Blood Drive

The CDNBCA, in partnership with Héma-Québec, is organizing an essential blood drive for Afro-descendant communities. This initiative aims to meet the needs of people suffering from sickle cell disease, a genetic disorder that requires regular transfusions. As genetic compatibility between donor and recipient is a key factor in ensuring the safety of transfusions, it is all the more important that donors come from the same genetic background.

This year, 10-minute slots are available, to enable as many people as possible to take part in the drive. We encourage you to come out in force to support this vital cause. Registration is mandatory to guarantee your slot. Your mobilization is essential to make a difference and help save lives.

We look forward to welcoming you to this solidarity event. Thank you for your generosity and support.
